Broadcast – Australia Day
Between 2018 and 2021, Big Picture redefined the Broadcast for the annual Australia Day event on Sydney Harbour. From Garden Island to Barangaroo, this 25-camera, all-day broadcast was a testament to how seamlessly a decentralised OB can work. Linking in remote elements from the top of the Harbour Bridge to Government house, from the HMAS Canberra and HMAS Choules to the jet skis in Circular Quay, everything was tied back to the main site on the Opera House forecourt.
For almost 20 years Big Picture has spent our Easter long weekends in beautiful Byron Bay at the iconic Byron Bay Bluesfest. Always a favorite gig for our crew, over the years this event has seen the changing technologies in live video production, starting out with analogue camera systems and projection IMAG screens to the latest and greatest our company has to offer.
Guns and Roses
Big Picture worked alongside TEG Dainty and our Nep Live Events Partner – Screenworks to bring the Guns N’ Roses Tour to life in Australia and New Zealand. The last leg of the GNR World Tour kicked off in Perth in November 2022 and played 6 stadium shows in 6 major cities across Australia before wrapping in Auckland in December. Big Picture supplied a 19.2m x 9.6m Roe CB8 Upstage Screen, Two 9.6m x 12m Imag Screens and touring Set LED package all with Brompton LED processing.
Sir Elton John Final Australian Tour
The start of 2023 brought the return of Sir Elton John, the legendary British singer, songwriter, and pianist, as he bid adieu to the stage with his final Australian tour ‘Goodbye Yellow Brick Road’.
Elton John’s final Australian tour captivated audiences with its grandeur, as the concert venues were transformed into magnificent spectacles of lights, sound, and Video that perfectly complemented the timeless music of Elton John and elevated the whole experience for everyone in attendance.
