For almost 20 years Big Picture has spent our Easter long weekends in beautiful Byron Bay at the iconic Byron Bay Bluesfest. Always a favourite gig for our crew, over the years this event has seen the changing technologies in live video production, starting out with analogue camera systems and projection IMAG screens to the latest and greatest our company has to offer. 2023 saw two main stages both with four camera HD production units, ROE CB5 LED IMAG screens and artist integration via our Riedel Mediornet networks.
The Crossroads stage had a 10.8m x 4.2m on stage ROE CB5 screen on a tracking system that allowed it to split in the middle and open to allow easy access for band changeovers, while the Mojo stage had a 30k projector at FOH for selected artists’ use. Big Picture is looking forward to many more years supporting this iconic Australian festival.
